前方的古典碼頭是落成於1901年的「卜公碼頭」，背後是落成於1933年，可容多條渡海小輪停泊的統一碼頭。
左方可見運送郵件的天橋，其旁為落成於1956年的中華總商會。最高的是將落成的恆生大廈。其西鄰是1926年建成的消防局（現時舊恆生總行）。
經歷次填海後，兩旁碼頭的位置現為交易廣場及中環機鐵站。

The classical pier in front was the Blake Pier, of 1901. And Unitied Pier of 1933 was at the back, operating ferries to cross the harbour.
The flyover of the Post Office can be seen on the left, also the building of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.
The Hang Seng Building(the tallest) is under construction. Beside it was the Headquarter of Fire Brigade of 1926, where the Hang Seng Bank situates today.
After several reclamations, the area of both Blake and United Piers become the Exchange Square and Airport Railway Station. ■鄭寶鴻 香港歷史博物館名譽顧問
