劍外忽傳收薊北，
初聞涕淚滿衣裳！
卻看妻子愁何在？
漫卷詩書喜欲狂。
Suddenly I learned of North Ji's regain,
My clothes are covered with tears from my joy.
No grief on my wife's face as we enjoy
The ecstasy without any refrain.

劍外： 劍門關以南，這裡指蜀地
薊北：今河北北部地區，是安史叛軍的老巢
