Infinitive or Gerund ?

http://paper.wenweipo.com   [2007-03-23]

1.My friends enjoy to drink beer in that pub.

2.I suggest to watch a film tonight.

3.I promised my mother working hard.

4.My teacher always helps me correcting my mistakes.

1.My friends enjoy drinking beer in that pub.

2.I suggest watching a film tonight.

3.I promised my mother to work hard.

4.My teacher always helps me to correct my mistakes.

1.My doctor advised me ( to take / taking) more exercise.

2.You should avoid ( to take / taking ) so much sugar in your tea.

3.My classmates wouldn't dare ( to criticize / criticizing) our principal.

4.He denied ( to know / knowing) anything about that case.

 5.I don't mind ( to stay / staying) here a bit longer.

6.No one can forbid you ( to express / expressing) your opinions.

 7.I can't imagine ( to live / living ) without electricity.

8.The police ordered the crowd ( to leave / leaving ) the scene.

9.They risk ( to lose / losing ) all their money if they invest in that enterprise.

10.He managed ( to get / getting ) his job done without much difficulty.

Key (infinitive : a gerund : b)
