(Collection of Sanxingdui Museum)
The vessel is decorated with perching birds and horned ram heads. The inside of the belly is incised with spiral and curved-horn animal-face patterns. The foot, decorated with tiger-ear animal-faced patterns, has six small holes. The zuns and leis excavated at Sanxingdui were mostly filled with cowry shells or jade ware such as bi and rings. The main function of the lei was to hold objects of sacrifice and ceremonial vessels.
