元 錢選(Qian Xuan, Yuan dynasty)

　元代畫家錢選力主摒棄南宋畫風而追求唐代繪畫的古意。此圖採取工筆設色的青綠山水畫法，傾向仿古的格調。畫中碧峰崇立，嘉樹成蔭，環抱著數棟樓閣及茅舍。山的左右則江水浩渺，遠處列岫隱浮於白雲之中，小舟上有文士相對而談。錢選刻意避免採用具遠近虛實的宋畫傳統，而著意於運用平面層疊的景物及素淡的色調，使全畫顯得格外柔和清潤，加上精勁的細線描繪，突破青綠山水強調厚重鉤勒與設色的風格而別出心裁。

　 Like most of Qian Xuan's landscapes, this painting is done in the blue and green style with an archaic flavour. In the centre of the painting, green and lush mountains soar to the heavens. In their midst are dwellings and cottages. To the left and right of the mountains are vast expanses of water with distant mountains disappearing into mists and clouds. In the foreground on the right, some scholars are seen onboard a tiny boat. Qian chose to overlap planes to create his landscape in light colours so as to evoke a subtle charm. 資料：香港藝術館
