　香港茶是本地原產的茶花中，唯一呈鮮粉紅色的品種，故十分容易辨認。多數在十一月至三月開花，沒有香味。每朵花都有五塊花瓣，花冠從外看來像個圓圓的臉盆。內裡有無數黃色的雄蕊，再配合那些粉紅色的花瓣，十分鮮艷奪目。它那褐色的果實呈圓形，而且十分堅硬。

　香港茶適合生長在較潮濕、清涼和隱蔽的地方，所以在接近水源的石隙中或隱蔽的雜木林中，比較容易找到它。

　Hong Kong Camellia

　The Hong Kong Camellia is the only native Camellia species in Hong Kong producing red-pink flowers,so it is easy to identify.It usually flowers from November to March.The flowers have five petals and numerous yellow stamens.The colour contrast makes the flowers dazzling and beautiful.The fruit is brown,circular and hard.

　The Hong Kong Camellia grows in cool,damp shady places.You can usually find them growing between rocks near water,or hidden in natural forests. 　　資料：漁護署
