圖說香江：由戲院里望皇后大道中,1925

　此圖約攝於1925年，接近皇后戲院的一段皇后大道中，為香港最繁盛的大道。當時有一種說法，在這一帶可「檢閱」到最高貴的美女。

　接近昭隆街的37號樓宇，是於1924年由荷李活道遷至的商務印書館，在其對面為中華書局。

　這裡還有不少藥房、西餐廳、攝影店、醫務所、金舖、顧繡店和百貨公司。

　Near the Queen’s Theatre is the most prosperous part of the road . Some people said that you could see the noble and prettiest women here.

　In the house of no.37 Queen’s Road, near Chiu Lung street is the Commercial Press .Chung Hwa Book Co. is on the opposite side.

　There were also numerous dispensaries, restaurants, studios, clinics, goldsmith, embroidery shops and department stores.
