看看下列兩句：
1.The vase was made in China.
2.The vase was made of china.
第一句說「這花瓶是在中國製造的。」第二句說「這花瓶是用瓷器製造的。」原來有些英文字大寫和小寫的意思是不同的，China 用大寫 “C” 是中國；用了小寫 “c” 便解作瓷器了。
polish 解「擦亮」 Polish變成 「波蘭的」
再看下列例子：
3.You have to be frank with your friends.
4.Frank is my best friend.
第三句的 “frank” 解作「坦率」；第四句用了大寫 “F”，“Frank” 便是人名了。
5.They polish the furniture before displaying it in the store.
6.The Polish furniture is displayed in the store.
第五句的 “polish” 解作「擦亮」；換了大寫 “P” ，便變成 「波蘭的」，是歐洲一國家，與德國毗連。
7.I have always had a yen to visit Alaska.
8.In Japan the unit of money is Yen.
第八句的 “Yen” 是日本貨幣單位；第七句不用大寫 “Y” ，便解為「渴望」。
