今天是戊子鼠年元宵佳節，都說元宵是佳人才子逛市賞燈、談情說愛的好日子。在這欄跟大家拜個年，再進入愛情的英語世界。
愛情這東西，撲朔迷離，窮一生時間，眾裡尋愛，找到又失去，似無還有，總教人醉生夢死、難捨難離。而在英語世界裡，與愛情相關的詩篇多的是，今天摘錄數則與大家分享。
十八世紀法國女作家 Madame de Stael，一生傳奇，敢愛敢恨，對愛情的看法，一針見血：
“ Love is the emblem of eternity;
it confounds all notions of time;
effaces all memory of beginning,
all fear of an end. ”
「愛情是永恆的標記；
時空慨念盡泯，
不記如何開始，
不懼怎樣終結。」
《小王子》的作者Antoine de Saint-Exupery，對愛情有這樣的睿語：
“ Love does not consist in gazing at each-other but in looking together in the same direction. ” 「愛不單只是深情互望，而是望著同一方向，共同進退。」
莎翁寫過不少愛情故事，其中 As You Like It有這幾句名言：
“ If thou remember'st not the slightest folly
That ever love did make thee run into,
Thou hast not loved.”
「若您記不起曾為愛情做過傻事，您還沒有愛過。」
愛：如山如河如歌如泣
Daniel Monroe Tuttle說 : “ Love is like a mountain,hard to climb,but once you get to the top the view is beautiful.” (愛，如山。攀山雖難，山頂景色卻迷人。)
Crystal Middlemas說： “ Love, like a river, will cut a new path whenever it meets an obstacle.” (愛，如河。重重障礙，也必另闢蹊徑。)
Larry Morey說：“ Love is a song that never ends；One simple theme repeating like the voice of a heavenly choir . Love's sweet music flows on.” (愛是一首永恆之曲。清純迴環，如天堂詩班，妙韻嬝繞。)
希望大家不會跟 Michael Jackson一起狂哭當歌： “It's the fallin' In love that's makin' me high. It's the being In love that makes me Cry Cry Cry… All night… All night…” (墮入愛河使我興奮，在戀愛中我哭、哭、哭…)
