由亞皆老街望向油麻地。右方的百老匯戲院現時為匯豐銀行，其鄰有一著名的四五陸百貨公司。其旁有一新雅酒店現為雅蘭中心。
左方有多間名店，包括春和堂涼茶、葉牌𩥝、梁蘇記遮、山打皮鞋，以及「夏天賣雪糕、冬天賣臘味」的皇上皇公司。
由1960年代起，這一帶是旺角的「旺角」。

Looking from Argyle Street to Yau Ma Tei. The site of the Broadway Theatre and the 4.5.6Department Store has been replaced by the HSBC building. The Sun Ya Hotel is now the Grand Tower.
There were several famous shops to the left, such as the Chun Wo Tong for herbal tea, Tung Yick Co. for shirt, Leung So Kee for umbrella and King of King Co. for ice-cream and preserved meat.
