中國銀行大廈曾是中銀在香港的總部，位於中環德輔道中2A號。中國銀行於1947年以逾200萬元的高價投得該地段，1950年大廈落成啟用，成為當時全港最高的建築物。1990年位於花園道的新廈開幕，舊廈的地舖曾改作「新華銀行」。展出的水彩畫是藝術家李秉的作品，其筆下的中銀大廈仍在興建中，右旁是匯豐總行，左前方則是前最高法院(今立法會大樓)。
The Bank of China Building, located at 2A, Des Voeux Road Central in Central, used to house the headquarters of the Bank of China (Hong Kong). The bank won the auction for the location in 1947 with a bid of 2 million dollars. The building, the tallest in Hong Kong at the time, was completed and inaugurated in 1950. After the new Bank of China Tower on Garden Road was opened in 1990, its basement had once been used as the Sin Hua Bank. This watercolour painting, by artist Lee Byng, portrays the Bank of China Building during its construction. On the right of the building is the HSBC headquarters, while front left is the former Supreme Court (the present-day Legislative Council Building). ■資料：香港歷史博物館
