圖說香江：1986年的南昌街

　1906年，政府開始發展深水步，進行填海並開闢街道。

　1910年代，工程初步完成，闢建了包括北河街、桂林街及南昌街等多條新街道。

　有不少酒樓食肆開設於南昌街，亦有不少工廠和名店。現時，若干間名店仍存在，當中一間為地標的舊式押店。

　In 1906, the government began to develop Sham Shui Po. It started reclaiming land and constructing roads.

　The first stage development completed in 1910s. New streets such as Pei Ho Street, Kweilin Street and Nam Cheong Street etc. had been constructed.

　There have been restaurants and eateries, factories and historical shops on Nam Cheong Street. Some shops including a "landmark" pawn shop, are still there.
