辨認：顏色較一般弄蝶鮮艷，頭和胸部長滿橙色細毛，腹部有黑白色相間的斑紋。翅底為乳白色，佈滿黑色斑紋。擁有典型的弄蝶體形，頭大和身體肥胖。因此牠和蛾類有幾分相似，但可從末端鼓脹的觸角來辨認出牠是蝶類。
為什麼說牠是蝴蝶中的隱士？因為牠飛行快速，通常只在清晨光線微弱時出現，其餘時間都停留在林間葉底。成蟲生活在陰暗的樹林中，一年四季都可以發現牠們的蹤影。
Pale Awlet
•Pale Awlets are Skippes, but they are far more colourful than most other Skippers. They have fine orange hair on their head and chest. Their abdomens are black and white, and the undersides of their wings are cream-white with black stripes. In body shape Pale Awlets are typical Skippers. They have a big head and a chunky body, and so look rather like moths. However, you can tell they are in fact butterflies by their club antennae.
•Why is the Pale Awlet a recluse? Because it flies fast and usually only appears at dawn. It spends days resting in the forest under tree leaves. 資料：漁護署
