玉善財童子 Jade Sudhana

此玉以新疆和闐玉為料，整器作扁平片狀雕，透光良好。童子臉部作羽狀眉，丹鳳眼，大鼻小嘴，身著寬衣寬袖，手腕纏臂金，腰間繫帶，童子腳踩祥雲。下端有扁狀榫頭，插於底坐上。玉板底座，表面飾有象徵佛教的「九山八海」圖案。這件文物為目前已知年代最早的玉童子形象。
The figure is carved from a piece of Hetian jade from Xinjiang and is fairly translucent. In this depiction, Sudhana has feather-shaped eyebrows, almond-shaped eyes, a big nose and a small mouth. He wears a loose robe with wide sleeves. The wrists are decorated with gold armlets and there is a belt at the waist. The figure stands on lucky clouds. There is a flat tenon on the base of the figure, which is inserted into the stand. The stand, also made from jade, is decorated with the Buddhist "nine mountains and eight seas"motif. This cultural relic is the earliest jade Sudhana figure discovered to date. ■資料：香港歷史博物館
