小白鷺長大後就是大白鷺了，對嗎？其實小白鷺和大白鷺是兩個不同的品種，緊記小白鷺長大後，仍然是小白鷺（成鳥），不是大白鷺啊！
分辨小秘笈：a.大白鷺的體形比小白鷺大；b.大白鷺的嘴是黃色，腳趾是黑色；小白鷺的嘴是黑色，腳趾是黃色。
牠們屬於留鳥，全年也可看見。牠們愛到水邊活動和覓食，那又尖又長的嘴，方便牠們捉魚吃。繁殖習性：鷺鳥喜歡聚集在樹林內築巢。
Great Egret and little Egret
When little Egrets grow up, they become Great Egrets. Correct? In fact, the Little Egret and the Great Egret are two entirely different species. So Little Egrets can never become Great Egrets!
Great Egrets are larger than little Egrets. Great Egrets have yellow bills and black feet, whereas Little Egrets have black bills and yellow feet.
Both of these egrets stay around the water's edge, where they seek their food.Their long, sharp bills have evolved so that they can effectively catch fish. In Hong Kong they are residents, seen throughout the year. When breeding, egrets and herons nest in colonies in forests or woodlands-making what are called egretries. 資料：漁護署
