• 花冠為漏斗狀，有3至5厘米長，呈淺藍色，於8至10月開花。
• 切勿胡亂採摘，這可能使你中毒。因為全株大部分都有毒，以種子的毒性最強。它很享受「日光浴」，而且能抵抗乾旱，所以經常在海灘附近找到它。
• 為什麼牽牛花多在清晨時候盛放呢？因為花冠又大又薄，水分容易蒸發。早上溫度低，空氣較濕潤，牽牛花水分充足，所以盛開。到了中午，由於氣溫升高，水分蒸發加快，花冠就捲起來了。
Imperial Japanese Morning-glory
• The trumpet-shaped flower is 3-5 cm long, with a fresh light-blue colour. It flowers from August to October.
• Most parts of the plant, especially the seeds, are poisonous-so don't try and pick the flowers.Imperial Japanese Morning-glory grows well with plenty of sunshine.It is drought-resistant, so you can always find it near beaches.
• Why does Imperial Japanese Morning-glory flower in the early morning? It is because the corolla is big and thin, and so the moisture evaporates easily. Early in the morning the air is moist and the temperature lower,so it will have plenty of moisture and therefore bloom fully.The evaporation rate increases with the day's rising temperature, and so towards midday the corolla curls up. ■資料：漁護署
