建於1828年，曾於1870年代重建。
其前方有一條廟街及一座名為榕樹頭的公眾廣場。其左方有一公眾四方（廣場）街，於1980年代，中文名改為眾坊街。
天后廟的左方為城隍廟，右方的廟宇於20世紀初曾作油麻地診所及義學。
榕樹頭廣場及其周圍設有不少占卜星相及賣物攤檔，亦聚集不少江湖賣藝者，百多年來皆為市民的消閑和休憩場所。
Tin Hau Temple, Yau Ma Tei
Constructed in 1828 and rebuilt in 1870s.
Temple Street and a public square, called Yung Shue Tau, are situated in front of the temple. Beside the square is the Public Square Street.
On the left of Tin Hau Temple, there is Shing Wong Temple. On the right were a clinic and a benevolent school in the early twentieth century.
More than 100 years, the Public Square has been a place of amusement and recreation. There are kiosks for fortune-tellers, hawkers and acrobats.
