• 辨認要訣：複眼黃綠色，翅膀透明。雄性腹部橙黃色；雌性胸部黃褐色，以至淡黃綠色也有，腹部偏褐色。
• 牠喜歡在溪流或池塘附近的草叢中活動和覓食。雌雄經常一起飛來飛去，但雄性較活躍，所以看見的機會較大。不過，若你能耐心等候，說不定會碰上牠的「另一半」呢！
• 想簡單地分辨蜻蜓與豆娘，就要緊記下列兩大秘訣。第一，在休息時，豆娘會把翅膀豎立在背上；蜻蜓卻平放於兩側。第二，豆娘體形修長纖幼；蜻蜓則健碩肥大。
Damselfly
• The compound eyes of this species are yellowish green and the wings are transparent.In the male,shown here,the abdomen is orange yellow.The female's thorax is yellowish brown or pale yellowish green,while female's abdomen is brownish.
• The species occurs in ponds and marshes.Males and females usually fly together,but the male is more active and so more often seen.But be patient-and you may also see its"better-half".
• If you want to distinguish a damselfly from a dragonfly quickly,remember these two differences.First,when a damselfly is resting,its wings are usually folded up while a dragonfly has its wings laid flat.Second,most damselflies are slim and thin-whereas most dragonflies are thick and strong. ■資料：漁護署
