• 紅樹是生長在熱帶地區，被陸地包圍的海灣中的植物。多在鹹淡水交界的泥灘發現它們。
• 特徵：細小的樹木，約6呎高；葉片呈長隋圓形，葉面光亮；果實圓錐形，連�騕筋鶡漟岱峈漯廎陛A好像一枝鉛筆；生長在海灘近陸地岸邊的石群中。多於大埔、西貢和后海灣看見。
• 摸一摸葉片，感覺厚厚的，為什麼呢？因為葉面上有一層蠟質，防止水份大量蒸發。

．Mangroves are plants that grow along tropical sheltered shores,usually around brackish water mudflats.
．Many-petalled Mangrove is a small tree,about 2m tall.The leaf shape is oblong,with shiny leaf surfaces.The fruits are round and elongated,with a purple-red calyx-which looks like a pencil with a red cap.Many-petalled Mangroves grow around the higher shores,and are commonly seen in Tai Po,Sai Kung and Deep Bay.
