1. The number of people living under the poverty line has reached an all time high.
2. With the economy reviving gradually, we should expect people to lead a better life.
3. Responding to the survey findings, Mr. Cheung claimed that a series of measures have been introduced to help the poor.
每一句都有一個present participle phrase來敘事或述說人物:句一的"living under the poverty line"指"the number of people"、句二的"reviving gradually"指"the economy"及句三的"responding to the survey finding"指"Mr. Cheung"。
1. (run) Look! The dog is _____ after the cat.
2. (interest) I found the book quite ______ .
3. (play) _____ golf has become his most recent pastime.
4. (stroll) I saw many people _____ along the beach.
Key: 1.running 2.interesting 3.playing 4.strolling
