由雲咸街向西望，右邊是德臣西報，現時是威靈頓公爵大廈；左邊是華字日報。
再過一些是德己立街，正中位置是今日鏞記酒家所在。
有雙子塔的最高建築物是落成於1843年、位於威靈頓街與砵甸乍街交界的天主教總堂，當時被稱為「羅馬廟」，於1888年遷往堅道。

Looking west from Wyndham Street, on the right was the China Mail where today's Duke Wellington House is situated. On the left, there was the Hua Tsz Jih Po. In the middle of this picture, there was D'Aguilar Street, where today's Yung Kee Restaurant is located.
The tallest building with twin towers was the Roman Cathedral, alias Roman Temple, located at the intersection of Wellington Street and Pottinger Street. It was removed to Caine Road in 1888. ■鄭寶鴻 香港歷史博物館榮譽顧問
