Stone Nullah Lane, C.1925
In the middle of the photo is nowadays' famous "Blue House". The stone nullah on its left was the landmark of Wan Chai since 1850s.
On the left of the nullah was the Eastern Clinic which was established in 1911. Its neighbour was the office of the Civil Defence Corps. Both buildings were rebuilt to the headquarters of the St. James' Settlement in 1980s. Today's Bamboo Grove in Kennedy Road is on the middle left.
At the back were the Naval and Sailor's Hospitals located on the Hospital Hill. They were changed to the Ruttonjee Hospital in 1949.
