很多同學都知道「人物」在英語中，會以「-or」或「-er」結尾，例如︰actor（演員）和dancer（跳舞者）。但事實上，除了「-er」、「-or」之外，所有專家名稱通常也會以「-ist」或「-ian」作尾。例如︰antropologist便是人類學家，而historian則是歷史學家。以下我會以列表形式教大家一系列有關specialists（專家）的英文寫法。
1. 人類學家(anthropologist)
2. 考古學家(archaeologist)
3. 生物學家(biologist)
4. 植物學家(botanist)
5. 犯罪學家(criminologist)
6. 災難學家(catastrophist)
7. 經濟學家(economist)
8. 生態學家(ecologist)
