　荔枝角連接葵涌村，其前荔枝角灣對開為昂船洲。

　1918年，荔枝角道開闢。

　1921年，美孚三達火油公司在荔枝角灣填海興建貯油庫。同年，巴士到達這裡，荔枝角灣即成為九龍之游泳勝地。

　1948年，著名的荔園遊樂場開業，至1997年才結束。

　連接葵涌的荔枝角大橋於1969年落成。美孚油庫於1965年起，發展為美孚新村。

　Lai Chi Kok adjoins Kwai Chung Village. In front is Lai Chi Kok Bay where the Stonecutters Island located.

　In 1918, Lai Chi Kok Road was constructed.

　In 1921, Mei Foo Standard Petroleum Co. reclaimed in Lai Chi Kok Bay for building the oil banks. Meanwhile, the bus services to Lai Chi Kok began. Then it became a popular swimming spot of Kowloon.

　In 1948, the famous Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park was opened and it had been run until 1997.

　The bridge linking Lai Chi Kok and Kwai Chung completed in 1969. From 1965, Mei Foo oil banks had developed into Mei Foo Sun Chuen.
