圖說香江：九龍巴士 （約1965年）

　1909年，來往尖沙咀碼頭至紅磡黃埔船塢的巴士開始服務，車費為1毫。

　1921年，九龍汽車公司經辦由尖沙咀碼頭往深水步、紅磡及九龍城的路線。2年後，啟德汽車有限公司經辦由尖沙咀碼頭至九龍城的路線。啟德公司於1928年被香港電車公司接管。

　1924年，中華汽車公司經營行走彌敦道的巴士路線，同時還有數間公司經營新界巴士路線。

　1933年，九龍汽車(1933)有限公司獨家經營九龍及新界的巴士業務直至現今。

　In 1909, the bus route served between the Tsim Sha Tsui Pier and Whampoa Dock began, the fare was 10 cents.

　From 1921, the Kowloon Motor Bus Co. Ltd served bus routes between the Tsim Sha Tsui Pier, Sham Shui Po, Hung Hom and Kowloon City. Two years later, the Kai Tack Motor Bus Co. Ltd started the bus services from Tsim Sha Tsui to Kowloon City. The Kai Tack Bus was taken over by the Hong Kong Tramway Co. in 1928. In 1924, the China Motor Bus Co. offered bus services for Nathan Road routes. Besides, several companies provided bus services to the New Territories.

　In 1933, the Kowloon Motor Bus (1933) Co. Ltd became the only operator for all bus routes of Kowloon and the New Territories till now. 　■鄭寶鴻 香港歷史博物館榮譽顧問
