丹頂鶴 Red-crowned Crane
別名仙鶴，是世界第二稀少的鶴類，在東亞地區代表吉祥、長壽和忠貞。牠們成熟後除頸部和飛羽後端為黑色外，全身潔白，頭頂長有紅色肉冠，發怒或受刺激時肉冠會變得鮮紅。
The Red-Crown Crane is the second rarest crane in the world. It has an alternative name that means heaven crane in China and is a symbol of luck, longevity and fidelity in East Asia. When it matures, the crane is snow white except the neck and the posterior part of the flight feathers which are black. On its head there is a patch of red skin which becomes bright red when the crane becomes angry or excited. ■資料：香港科學館
