President Xi Jinping has proposed the construction of "New Silk Road Economic Belt" and "21th Century Maritime Silk Road" strategy in September and October, 2013. 2016年9月8日上午，長飛光纖印度尼西亞有限公司在印度尼西亞西爪哇省卡拉旺市隆重舉行開業典禮。該項目在不到12個月的時間內完成了光纖工廠的建設、設備的安裝和調試，實現了提前投產。
The opening ceremony of Indonesian Changfei Optical Fiber Co. Ltd. was held in Cara Wang city, West Java province on September 8th, 2016. The project completed the construction of the fiber plant, installation and commission of equipment in less than 12 months and put into operation in advance.
印尼政府近年來逐步加大對通訊基礎設施的投入，長飛印尼公司作為印尼乃至東南亞唯一一家光纖製造企業，在印尼市場贏得了先機和主動權，長飛印尼公司的開業亦是長飛公司國際化戰略的又一個里程碑。
The Indonesian government has gradually increased the communication infrastructure investment in recent years. YOFC Indonesia won the opportunity and took the initiative in the Indonesian market as the only one fiber manufacturing enterprise in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The opening of YOFC Indonesia is also another milepost of YOFC's internationalization strategy.
2016年10月13日，長飛參展「中國－南非高技術展示交流會」，中國駐南非大使田學軍在參觀長飛展台時，回顧了中國國家主席習近平與祖馬總統在南非會晤時特別提及長飛在南非投資的光纜廠，並表達了對長飛在南非開展各項工作的全力支持。長飛光纖非洲控股有限公司於今年5月在南非德班隆重奠基，公司總部位於約翰內斯堡。
YOFC attended "Chinese-South Africa high technology exhibition" on October 13rd, 2016. Chinese ambassador of South Africa Tian Xuejun reviewed the YOFS's investment of cable factory in South Africa, which was mentioned by President Xi Jingping during the meeting with President Zuma. Tian also expressed full support for YOFC's work carried out in the south Africa. YOFC Africa Holdings Limited laid the foundation stone in Durban in May 2016 and the headquarter is in Johannesburg.
長飛總裁莊丹指出，過去30年的發展，整個光纖光纜行業乃至中國製造業都是走的一條「用市場換技術」的道路，經過多年積累和研發的巨額投入，長飛有了很多微創新，積累了一些專有技術，有了一些智能生產的經驗，未來會向國際市場上做輸出，展示中國光纖光纜製造的實力，引領光纖光纜行業的轉型升級。
YOFC president Zhuang Dan pointed out that the optical fiber and cable industry even the Chinese manufacturing industry is taking a "Market for Technology" path over the past 30 years. With huge R&D investment, YOFC had a lot of micro innovation, accumulated some proprietary technology and intelligent production experience. YOFC will output its technology to the international market to show Chinese fiber optic cable manufacturing strength in the future, leading the transformation and upgrading of the optical fiber and cable industry.
