Chairman: I'd like to hear your opinions about the staff lounge. Any suggestions?
Mr. Chan:I was wondering if we could buy some appliances for the lounge.
I was wondering if 是客氣建議方式
陳老師所說的 I was wondering if ...
Chairman: That sounds good. What do you think?
Mr. Ng: Don't you think it might be an idea to have a microwave oven? Our colleagues can prepare a light meal for lunch if they wish.
Don't you think it might be an idea to ...,與陳老師的說法有異曲同工之妙,採用問題句,是一種比較有禮貌的表達方式。
Mr. Yu: Yes, we also need a refrigerator to store food. How about installing a fridge?
余老師用的How about...
Miss Law: What about drinks? Why don't we also make available a coffee maker? People might need a little refreshment during the day.
Chairman: These ideas are great. Let's make up a list of what we need.
linachu@hkbu.edu.hk
