Causeway Road, c. 1915
It was a causeway constructed in the 1850s. It was in the middle of a circular gong shape bay and connected Yee Wo Street and King's Road of Tin Hau.
Half of the "gong" was reclaimed in the 1880s, where the Queen's College and Central Library are situated nowaday.
The other half was built a Typhoon Shelter with Shelter Street in the vicinity.
The Shelter was reclaimed in 1952 to construct the Victoria Park. ■
