上海集體結婚典禮紀念章 Certification badge for group wedding

　集體婚禮最先興起於1930年代，是上海市政府為響應新生活運動，仿效西方婚制而訂下的結婚模式，以改變過分鋪張的婚嫁傳統。這曾經是追上時代潮流的象徵，1935年首創時即連續舉行了五屆，參加的新人超過300對。

　Group weddings first emerged in the 1930s and had been invented by Shanghai Municipal Government, in support of the New Life Movement, to replace overly formal and elaborate traditional Chinese weddings. The group weddings once meant “trendy and fashionable”. In 1935 alone, more than 300 couples married at five group weddings. 　■資料：香港歷史博物館
