天星碼頭和海運大廈，落成於1957年及1966年。
兩者背後是落成於1886年的九龍倉建築群(於1960年代中陸續拆卸重建為海港城)。
圖中可見落成於1968年的星光行和香港酒店，它們左方的地盤是正在興建的海洋中心。
右方的火車站於1975年遷往紅磡後，原址被改建為香港文化中心。
背後的填海地段，正發展為新旅遊區─尖東。

The Star Ferry Pier and Ocean Terminal were completed in 1957 and 1966.
At the back of the Star Ferry Pier and Ocean Terminal were the buildings of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown, which were completed in 1886. They were rebuilt as the Harbour City in the mid 1960s.
In the middle of the picture, there were the Star House and Hong Kong Hotel, which opened in 1968. The land next to them was the construction site of the Ocean Centre.
The KCR Terminal with the Clock Tower were situated on the right side. The Terminal was moved to Hunghom in 1975 and the site was rebuilt as the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
The reclaimed land at the back was being developed to a new tourist spot, Tsim Sha Tsui East. ■鄭寶鴻 香港歷史博物館榮譽顧問
