「第四屆特區政府行政會議昨日舉行新政府上任後首次會議」：「屆」是term；「特區」是SAR；「政府」是government；「行政會議」是the Executive Council；「舉行」是hold/held；「上任」是take/took office，但這時便不用說上述的「屆」（term）。

「又建議減少新一屆行會的暑假和其他假期的日數」：「建議」是propose(d)，但他其實已決定了，因而不說此動詞更好；「減少……的日數」說shorten(ing)便可；「新一屆行會」前面已提及，這兒可略去；「暑假」是summer vacation。
