一字多義之二
上期提到，在英文詞語中，不少是一詞多義的，這令不少學生很易摸不着頭腦，搞不通其意思，也因而在閱讀卷誤解文章的意思，失分慘重。在今期專欄，筆者會再為大家介紹更多一詞多義的英文字詞，好讓同學能對它們有更深認識，下次做閱讀卷時，不會再誤墮陷阱。（右表）
Jack-of-all-trades 博而不精
此外，一些人名或動物名稱也有別的意思，大家也要多加注意啊。例如Jack，原來也有「起重機」和「水手」的意思。若人們說你是Jack-of-all-trades，即「博而不精」，不是好事。以下列出其他例子，讓同學遇到相關字眼時，也能明白箇中意思。（下表）
