皇后戲院位於皇后大道中與戲院里交界。
其前身為約落成於1910年的香港影畫戲院，為一高尚戲院，港督亦為座上客。於1924年改建為皇后戲院，日治時代，被易名為「明治劇場」。
1958年，再度拆卸，現代化的第二代皇后戲院，於1961年落成，惟於2007年結業拆卸。
Queen's Theatre, c.1955
It was situated at the junction of Queen's Road Central and Theatre Lane. In former days there was a Hong Kong Theatre which was completed in the c.1910. It was a high class theatre where the Governor had been the guest. Later, it was demolished and rebuilt the Queen's Theatre which was completed in 1924.
During the Japanese Occupation, the name of the theatre changed to "Meiji Theatre".
The old Theatre was demolished in 1958 and the new Queen's Theatre completed in 1961. But it was closed and pulled down in 2007. ■鄭寶鴻 香港歷史博物館名譽顧問
