This was the Queen's Road Central.
Since c. 1842,a buliding on the right side had become "The Tea Exchange" of Dent's Co. In 1844, it became the second generation Supreme Court. From 1846, it had become the General Post Office (second generation) till 1911.
In 1924, the China Building was built here. It contained eateries such as Majestic, American and Jimmy's Kitchen. In 1969, a Far East Exchange established there.
The China Building was demolished at the end of the 1970s and a new Aon China Building has been standing at the site. ■
