告士打道於1930年在灣仔新填地上開闢，由軍器廠街至波斯富街，到1970年代才伸延至維多利亞公園。
左方的英美煙草公司於1977年改建為伊利莎白大廈。再過一些是堅拿道。這一帶於1965年再進行填海。
圖片正中位置有漁船的地方為現時紅隧的出入口。
Gloucester Road, C.1955
The background is looking west from the office of Wen Wei Po in Percival Street.
Gloucester Road was located between Arsenal and Percival Streets. It was constructed on the Wan Chai reclaimed area in 1930. In 1970s, it stretched to the Victoria Park.
The British-American Tobacco Co. on the left was rebuilt to the Elizabeth House in 1977. Its west is Canal Road. This area was reclaimed again in 1965.
In the middle with fishing junks is the entrance of the Cross Harbour Tunnel.
