The Judgment Day for Hong Kongers is coming closer. We, as Hong Kongers, are going to make a choice. Are we going to accept another years of chaos ¡]²V¨P¡^ like past 2 years, or decide to move ahead? This is Hong Kong, the first global financial center in China, with strong tradition in rule of law and an open society that emphasis freedom. What can possibly go wrong? It seems that we can still be talking about how to achieve ¡]¹ê²{¡^ universal suffrage in five years later.

The political reform package will be put to a vote by the Legislative Council in mid-June. The Opposition lawmakers, however, are threatening to veto our first-ever universal suffrage plan. They try to confuse the general public that the government proposal precludes their participation as candidates. The reality is the system itself, by no means, to screen out candidates with different political views. We see no legal restrictions on people with pan democrat's affiliation to be CE candidates, as long as they can convince members of the Nominating Committee they are pa triots ¡]·R°ê·R´ä¡^.

Hong Kong's political development has occurred in a rapid pace since the 1997 handover. Our electoral system has been transformed twice in 2002 and 2012, while the Election Committee was expended from 400 to 1,200. Passing the government proposal will be great step to bring greater democracy to the people of Hong Kong.
