In English, a nervous wreck is someone who is very upset or worried （so will probably be shaking）. The other meaning of a wreck in English is a boat that has sunk and is often found at the bottom of the ocean.
A nervous wreck指的是，擔心某事得要命（可能在發抖）的人。Wreck又可以指沉沒了的船。所以，「在海底裡發抖」的東西，自然是a nervous wreck啦！
