很多人看過Ewan McGregor（伊雲．麥格高）演的戲後，都覺得他是好戲之人，原來對他來說，演戲一點也不困難，只要你保持簡單：「I've never found acting that difficult. If you ask me, it's all rather easy if you keep it simple. But as soon as you lose that original drive, it's not fun...The fear of being rubbish is always what makes you good, I think.」
不過，當你慢慢失去初衷，就會變得不再好玩。當世人都害怕「恐懼」時，Ewan McGregor卻認為，恐懼演戲演得垃圾是令他變得更好的原因。這種怕被人取笑或者被罵做得差的壓力，令他變得更好。
很多人認識Ewan McGregor是因為《Star Wars》（星球大戰），但如果是從他出道就留意他的話，一定有看過《Trainspotting》（迷幻列車）這套當年上到mainstream（主流）的獨立電影。不過，我們不能否認《Star Wars》確是奠定了Ewan在荷里活的男主角地位，要知道一個出身自蘇格蘭的演員，並不是那麼容易打入美國市場的。
雖然成為了炙手可熱的荷里活巨星，Ewan卻沒有改變他有話直說的性格。他這樣形容荷里活和那些美國傳媒：「There are actors everywhere, a lot of them in Hollywood, who instead of pursuing good acting and making good films thrive on being in magazines and making sure they're in the right ones and at the right parties with the right people; in fact, that seems to be what Hollywood thrives on as a whole. 」意思是，有很多荷里活的演員四處找機會上雜誌，而且是上正確的雜誌和正確的人去正確的派對，卻沒有真正去追尋好的演技和做好的電影。這就是荷里活現在的發展。
Ewan不喜歡電影圈的這一面，更直言很多演員雖然覺得自己的角色有點沉悶，但只要那個角色能令他出名，他們都會照做可也（ I've always detested that side of the business. I've worked with too many people who find the acting part of it slightly boring, but they do it because it's the part that allows them to become famous）。
對他來說，雜誌和影相片是工作沉悶的一部分，卻令他得以演戲（the magazines and the photos shoots are the boring parts of my job that allow me to be on set doing my work），但整體來說，他從不明白傳媒中介人究竟在做什麼。中介人收費不斐，而他拒絕付費（ On the whole, though, I've never really understood what press agents do. They charge you quite a lot of money, and I'm reluctant to give anyone my money）。
Ewan已經是大明星，自然不用「博出鏡」，但是很多沒有知名度的新晉明星，確實需要巴結傳媒幫助宣傳，才可令自己更有知名度啊。（未完待續）■馬漪楠
