域多利戲院(約1915年)

　這是一間落成於約1910年的高尚電影院，位於砵甸乍街與德輔道中交界，其前身是「獵人戲棚」。

　該戲院亦經營用木艇運載汽車渡海的業務。

　它於1920年拆卸，並改建為設有臨時消防局的「爹核行」。1946年，首間惠康超級市場在此開設。「爹核行」於1966年改建為永安集團大廈。圖左的樓宇於1955年拆卸，改建為第一代的萬宜大廈。

Victoria Theatre, C.1915

　This was a high-class cinema completed in C.1910. It was located at the intersection between Pottinger Street and Des Voeux Road Central. Its former was an open cinema named "Wax-figure".

　The Theatre also operated vehicular ferry services by wooden boats.

　It was demolished in 1920, and was rebuilt to the David House, with a temporary fire station. The first Wellcome Supermarket was also opened in this building in 1946. The David House was rebuilt to the Wing On House in 1966.

　The houses on the left were demolished in 1955 to build the first generation of the Man Yee Building.
