圖中前方的域多利軍營已改建為現時的太古廣場、辦公大樓及3間酒店。它們均先後落成於1980年末期。
圖左中部為1950年代中落成的警察總部及警察宿舍。其中宿舍部分於1990年代改建為警察總部。
1965年，灣仔開始填海工程，並在1969年後完成。工展會曾在新填海地皮上舉辦數屆展覽。政府及發展商後來在此地上興建多座政府及私人辦公大樓、住宅大廈及會展中心。
Wan Chai, C.1965
The Victoria Barracks at the front were rebuilt to the Pacific Place, offices and three hotels. They were successively completed in the late 1980s.
On the left, the middle part are the Police Headquarter and Police Quarter. The Quarter has become the Headquarter in the 1990s.
The Wan Chai reclamation was begun in 1965 and finished in 1969. Several exhibitions of the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo were held on the newly reclaimed land. Later, numerous buildings including the governmental buildings and private office buildings, residential buildings and the Convention and Exhibition Centre were constructed on the area. ■鄭寶鴻 香港歷史博物館榮譽顧問
