上期跟同學討論了應如何去寫記敘描寫文的introduction，今日跟同學講述應如何交代時間與故事發展。與別的文體不同，記敘描寫文常常會見到以下的兩種organization methods（組織方法）。
用連接詞表示次序或重要性
1. By chronological order 時間順序
顧名思義chronological order就是根據事件發生的先後次序，順序將它們列舉出來。例如：
To use an automatic washing machine, first put the dirty clothes in the drum. Then, put the washing powder or detergent to the special drawer. Select the right setting and press "start".
以上的例子講述應如何用洗衣機，「事件」的先後次序可由連接詞first和then看出來。
2. By importance 重要性
跟隨重要性，作者將不同的事情分類，將重要的事情放在文章主文（body paragraphs）最後位置（ascending order），或在主文首段就列舉最重要的論點，較小的論點則放在之後的body paragraphs （descending order）。用一個paragraph來做例子：
To trek in the Himalayas, I need to think of ways to overcome the extreme weather and possible hypothermia （低溫症）. First, I should avoid drinking alcohol; besides, avoid overextension. Activities that cause me to sweat a lot probably would quicken my loss of body heat. But most importantly, I should cover myself with loosefitting, layered, and lightweight clothing. (ascending order)
以上的例子雖然並不是narrative writing（記敘文），但作者亦運用了order of importance來present ideas。同樣地，作者亦用了besides、most importantly等去列舉不同ideas的重要性。
