圖左是開業於1949年的龍鳳大茶樓，原址現已變成渣打銀行。山東街的另一端是勝利戲院，它於1953年改建為麗斯戲院。
麗斯戲院隔鄰的新雅大酒樓現已成為雅蘭中心。眼鏡招牌背後的百老匯戲院在1968年改建成滙豐銀行。

On the left of the photo, there was the Lung Fung Tea House which started business in 1949. The building was rebuilt to the Chartered Bank. On the other side of Shan Tung Street, there was the Victory Theatre, which was rebuilt to the Ritz Theatre in 1953.
The Sun Ya Restaurant next to the Ritz Theatre was rebuilt to the Grand Tower. At the back of the optical signboard, there was the Broadway Theatre. It was demolished to build the HSBC in 1968. ■鄭寶鴻 香港歷史博物館榮譽顧問
