圖左是落成於1911年的第三代郵政總局。其前方是落成於1901年的第一代卜公碼頭，現時已被重置於赤柱。郵政總局現為環球大廈。
圖中是落成於1955年的中華總商會大廈。
郵政總局右方是建成於1926年的消防局大廈，它於1985年拆卸，並於1990年改建為恒生銀行總行大廈。
Connaught Road Central, C.1958
On the left, there was the General Post Office where today's World Wide House is situated. At its front, there was the Blake Pier, which has been relocated in Stanley nowdays.
In the middle, there is the CGCC Building which was completed in 1955.
On the right, there was the Fire Brigade Building which was demolished in 1985, and it was rebuilt to the new Hang Seng Bank Building in 1990. ■鄭寶鴻 香港歷史博物館榮譽顧問
