「Stomach」是胃部，人體的消化器官，有些時候亦可泛指腹部、肚子，所以胃痛、肚痛的英文都是「stomach ache」。

吃得太多，或吃了不潔的東西，除了會肚子痛之外，還會想嘔吐，這就是胃部或腹部有病，可以說「sick to the stomach」（極度不適而想嘔吐）。
She was sick to the stomach after eating the seafood. She kept vomiting and had to see a doctor.
吃了海產後，她感到極度不適而想嘔吐。她嘔吐不止，要去看醫生。
He felt sick to the stomach as soon as the ship started moving.
船隻啟航後，他很快就感到十分不適，想要嘔吐。
短語：形容心情不佳
這短語除了可以形容身體不適、嘔吐、肚子有病，亦可引伸形容心情極為不佳，很不愉快，擔憂，甚至於憤怒。
He still feels sick to the stomach whenever he recalls the death of his wife.
直到現在，每當想起妻子的死，他仍然感到很不舒服，極為難過。
His words made everyone sick to the stomach.人人都對他的言論感到不悅、作嘔。
粗暴言行 令人作嘔
與此有關的另一個常用語就是「turn one's stomach」（倒胃口）。說某些人或事物「turn your stomach」，指這些人或事物非常討厭，令你極為不快，與廣東話的「令人反胃」異曲同工。
The violent scenes in the movie really turned my stomach.
電影中的暴力場面真的令我倒胃口。
Nearly everyone in the company finds him disgusting. His rude behavior always turns their stomach.
公司內幾乎每個人都覺得他很討厭。他的粗魯行為常常倒人胃口。
