Central District, C.1900
¡@Looking from the Mid-levels, the huge adjoined buildings with dome were the second generation of the HSBC. At the middle is also the second generation of the Hong Kong Club, which was completed in 1897. Next to it was the Telegraph House, which became the Ritz Carlton Hotel in 1980s.
¡@The tallest building was the property of the Hong Kong Land Co. which was sold to Japanese in 1939, and its name was changed to the Oriental House. It was used as the Police Head Quarters after the Second World War till 1955. Its neighbour was the Swire House. Both buildings were rebuilt to Furama Hotel in the early 1970s. Today, it is the AIA Building.¡@¡½¾GÄ_ÂE »´ä¾ú¥v³Õª«À]ºaÅAÅU°Ý
