攻克Listening之一

在HKDSE English Language Paper 2B中，每年都會有一兩條題目是描寫文或敘述文。究竟同學應否選擇這兩類題目呢？

若大部分考生認為，中文科是HKDSE的「死亡之卷」，Paper 3 Listening and Integrated Skills可謂英文科的「死亡之卷」。此卷難處在於：

1. 時間少（考生只有兩小時的答題時間）；

2. Tasks極多（在Part A及Part B中，考生大概要完成7個項目）；

3. 考核大量skills（考生要運用listening, reading and writing skills去完成所有Tasks）。究竟考生應如何準備？今期先討論有關listening的部分。

Part A Compulsory Part其實只有Listening這個部分。在Part A，試題通常要求考生聽完廣播之後，填寫missing information on websites, questionnaires, charts, layouts or maps等。題目類型可能包括填寫簡單數據、陳述別人意見、原因、結果或影響、好處與壞處，以及提供建議等。

平時要下苦功　勿臨急抱佛腳

在Part B（無論選擇B1或B2)，考生會聽到另一段廣播，根據所提供的headings去jot down重點。而那些重點會幫助考生完成稍後的writing部分。考生若要在Part A摘取高分，必須留意以下貼士：

1. 平時多加練習，因為listening就像oral ，「臨急抱佛腳」的溫習方式並不奏效。

2. 一定要善用preparation time去作合理推斷，嘗試估計空格的missing information是甚麼。何為合理推斷？在未聽廣播前，當然無法知道正確答案，但應大概知道答案屬哪一類。
