在前幾期跟同學討論過一些議論文中常遇到的問題，今期會轉換話題，會探討一下同學們應如何處理descriptive and narrative writing（記敍文），是paper 2（writing）中常見的題目。
寫作題目可能要求考生描述某件事情，那事情可能是純故事，亦有可能要求考生敍述一次個人經歷 （personal experience）。無論考生遇到哪類題目，最重要莫過於清楚了解題目，弄清楚在答題時應扮演什麼角色（roles），以及故事應以第一身（first person）還是第三身（third person）的角度敍述事件。
試倒敍 或誇張吸眼球
這類文章的基本結構與別的文體並沒有多大的分別--大致是起首 （introduction），發展 （development/ body）及總結（conclusion）3個部分，但為了令到故事本身更有趣，不同的作者往往在起首部分運用不同的方法。以下是一些常見的方法：
Method 1 倒敍法 ：在故事的開端提及已發生的事情或已知道的結果，用以引起讀者的興趣。例如：
When my teacher announced today that I would represent Hong Kong to participate in the Future World Leaders Conference to be held in Vienna this August, I could hardly suppress my joy. For the whole morning, my classmates either gave me hearty congratulations or eyed me with envy and resentment. Yet, nobody knew the effort and hard work I spent in order to achieve this wonderful result.
Method 2 總結經歷：在故事的開端運用一些誇張的措詞去總結經歷或個人的感受來吸引讀者。例如：
Ｎo doubt Henry V was one of the best shows I'd ever seen in my life.
Without my teacher's unfailing support, I would have lost the competition.
