這裡的第一個Bush是指布什總統的老爸，George H. Bush（老布什，即Ronald Reagan之後的總統），而第一個Clinton是指希拉里的丈夫Bill Clinton，他在1992年的總統大選中獲勝，終止了老布什的連任，在1993年到2001年當總統。Another one的意思是another Clinton，即希拉里自己，而second Bush就是指小布什。
小布什講錯諺語 希拉里「還拖」
大家都知道，小布什時常講錯說話，特別是他的There is an old saying in Texas那句（讀者請自己上網搜索），被嘲為連自己家鄉的old saying（諺語）也說錯。Hillary正正就用Texas的諺語痛擊小布什的施政，她說：You know, there is a great saying in Texas-you've heard it-all hat and no cattle. Well, after seven years of George Bush, we need a lot less hat and a lot more cattle.
這裡的all hat and no cattle是指被放牧的牛隻，整句說話解為「個個都以為戴了牛仔帽就可以懂得放牛，但其實得個講字」。Hillary用了這個slang（俗語）來指小布什的施政言過其實。
注重形象 自嘲仕途「符碌」
Hillary是個女政客，卻有膽大聲批評當時的總統施政失誤，顯得出她也有Iron Lady的味道，所以她的形象也受到傳媒關注，連她自己都說：If I want to knock a story off the front page, I just change my hairstyle. 她在另一場合更說：I'm undaunted（無畏的） in my quest（追求）to amuse myself by constantly changing my hair.
她的這句話使我想起香港曾經都有一個女政客說：「如果我連髮型都捍衛不到，又怎樣捍衛香港的治安？」
面對其他人的攻擊式批評，Hillary並沒有反擊或辯論她自己的立場：You know, people make a lot of money talking about me, don't they? They just get on those shows, and they talk away. There's nothing I can do. And that's one of the great lessons I try to convey in my book, which my mother implanted in me as a young girl ... Is you can either be an actor in your own life, or a reactor in somebody else's. 意思是她的一舉一動都是自己主導的，而非被其他人左右的。
儘管Hillary是一個很有自主獨立精神的政客，她也會自嘲自己的仕途很「符碌」（fluke）：I never thought I would end up being the Senator from New York. I never thought that the long haired, bearded guy I married in law school would end up being the President. （我從來沒想過當日我嫁給的那個長頭髮、滿面鬍鬚的男人會當上美國總統。）她所指的，正是她的老公Bill Clinton。（二之二）
