■Peter Pan住的Never-never Land，意指虛構的夢幻樂園。 資料圖片橫掃多個奧斯卡獎項的美國歌舞片《星聲夢裡人》，講述一對醉心演藝的青年男女，在加州洛杉磯追求夢想的故事。
電影英文原名《La La Land》是雙關語，意指洛杉磯（Los Angeles，簡稱L.A.）外，L.A.也是荷里活（Hollywood）所在地，是很多人追夢的地方，可謂夢幻之都。
洛杉磯看似星光燦爛，但未必每位尋夢者能找到其舞台。當形容某些人過於執迷、不切實際，可以說他們活在夢幻中be/live in la-la land：
He is always off in la-la land, thinking that he can be famous and rich overnight.
他常常做白日夢，夢想自己一夜之間名成利就。
If you think you can buy an apartment now with this small amount of money, you are living in la-la land.
你以為憑這一點點錢就可以置業，你真是做夢了。
Never-never land 烏托邦
相似用法的never-never land，解作烏托邦，所有事物完美無瑕，人人快樂無憂，但現實根本無法實現，有如中文的世外桃源。
Never-never land（簡稱never land），出自18世紀蘇格蘭作家J.M. Barrie創作的童話故事小飛俠（Peter Pan），是小飛俠、其他孩子及仙子居住的地方。
當形容某些人期望過高，想像一切都完美，便是be/ live in never-never land：
The real world is not a never-never land. We have to face difficulties and frustrations.
現實世界不是理想國，我們必須面對種種困難和挫折。
Some people simply live in never-never land; they don't realize how bad the true situation is.
一些人總是活在美麗的夢幻中，不知道真實環境有多壞。
Cloud-cuckoo land 夢幻國度
Cloud-cuckoo land出自公元前古希臘劇作家Aristophanes的作品The Birds。故事中的鳥兒要在空中建立一個完美的理想國度，稱為Cloud-cuckoo land空中布穀鳥國，後來cloud-cuckoo land引申為脫離現實、過度理想化的虛幻境界，說某些人be/live in cloud-cuckoo land，便帶有負面意思：
Anyone who thinks that one person can solve all these social problems is living in cloud-cuckoo land.
如果有人以為單靠一個人就能夠解決所有這些社會問題，那真是太脫離現實了。
They are in cloud-cuckoo land if they think that their team can win the world cup.
如果他們認為自己的球隊能贏得世界盃，他們真是痴心妄想。
這些不同詞彙均描繪夢想、理想和完美的境界，可能真的只存在於電影和小說中，現實世界無法實現，於是la-la land、never-never land和cloud-cuckoo land就帶有不切實際、脫離現實、虛幻、「離地」的意思 。■Lina CHU
